ActionControl Class

          + ActionControl

Description

The ActionControl class implements the common behaviors of control that only react to a user tap. Its subclasses are Button, CheckBox, PushButton and Selector. Like all derived classes of the UIComponent, this class is not instantiable, cloneable or derivable. The only instances available to the programmer are those automatically generated by HB++ when you place a control on a form.

The Font and Text properties sets the text displayed on the control as well as the font to use. Controls derived from the ActionControl class cannot display several lines of text or use several fonts: if you place a carriage return character (ANSI code 13) in the text of this control, it is ignored.

The Click event handles user taps on a control while the HitControl method raises this event.

The Group property defines the group that contains the control. When several controls are part of the same group, only one can be checked at the same time. A null value means that the control does not belong to a group. This property is available for checkboxes and pushbuttons and it has no effect on other types of control.

The Value property returns or sets the control state. If it is checked, its value is True otherwise it is False. This property is available for checkboxes and pushbuttons. It has no effect on other types of control.

Note: The PenMove event is never raised by objects derived from this class, but intercepted internally.
